Earth Day Clean Up at the Llano Silo Road

We are honoring Earth Day, with a Camp & Clean in Llano! Join us for another #storiesandstewardship Earth Day in Llano, CA Saturday, April 26th.This year we are tackling the abandoned gow and the abandoned encampment north of the silo road. There's a lot of work to do! Camp out with us near the actual tent tie-downs used from 1914-1917 Friday evening.

Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration in Mission Viejo

The City of Mission Viejo is hosting its annual Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration with a planting and Green Expo from 8 am to noon on Saturday, April 26. Volunteers will have the chance to embrace nature by planting trees and shrubs along the section of Oso Creek Trail that is north of Jeronimo Road. Participants should wear a hat, gloves, boots and sunscreen. Lunch and ice cream will be available for volunteers while supplies last.

High School Internship at the Sherman Library & Gardens Application Due Date

Every summer Sherman Library & Gardens offers a full-time paid internship opportunity for high school students who show an interest in study or career options in the field of horticulture and/or public gardens. In recent years we have welcomed students from El Dorado High School, Placentia High School, Troy High School, Early College High School, and Newport Harbor High School. The interns joined our horticulture and education team for a varied program of practical garden work, summer camp, field trips and individual projects.
