Middle School Book Club

Registration for Summer is open at enniseducation.com. In this course, students grades 6-7 will use ranked choice voting to select the group's books from a list of Newbery recipients. Our teacher is a former instructor from University of Cambridge (UK) and Brown University as well as a certified executive functioning coach. She will impart accelerated reading comprehension techniques to students in order to prepare them for the advanced texts they'll encounter in higher grade levels.

Taste of Boysenberry Festival - Knott's Berry Farm - Buena Park , CA

The Knott's Boysenberry Festival is our annual food and wine festival that celebrates the park's historic roots by highlighting the little berry that started it all, the boysenberry. Indulge in a tantalizing lineup of dishes ranging from savory foods with a boysenberry twist to one-of-a-kind specialty desserts and drinks including a variety of wines and craft beers that you can only find at Knott's Berry Farm during this limited-time food-inspired event. In addition to the numerous food and drink offerings, the Knott's Boysenberry Festival offers a wide selection of local crafters, live music, musical stage shows, and fun activities for guests of all ages to enjoy. This year's event will introduce entirely new food offerings featuring a selection of more than two dozen food and drink items.

12th Annual Sheep Shearing Festival

Get a close-up view of how our sheep are shorn and how we process our wool. Guests can learn about natural dyes, how to wash wool, and visit our farm to feed our organic sheep. you can sign up for various related classes on making your own felted animal, macramé keychain and more! There will also be a live simulation of a sheep herding competition. Come and see dogs at all levels of training as they help their human handlers with the livestock.

Snoopy and the Red Baron

Charles Schulz introduced Snoopy as the World War I Flying Ace in 1965, and over the decades the Flying Ace has become one of Snoopy’s most recognizable personas. This traveling exhibition from the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, titled Snoopy and the Red Baron, tells the full story of the charismatic and beloved character, from the origin of the story line, to how Schulz researched all aspects of World War I to bring authenticity to the strips. Snoopy and the Red Baron brings the full story of the World War I Flying Ace to life. The exhibition will delight fans who grew up with the Ace and introduce new audiences to Snoopy’s adventures in the sky. Curated by the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center, Santa Rosa, California, U.S.A.
