Join CRIISC for a day of history sharing and community as we discuss Author Marla A. Ramírez's book, Banished Citizens: A History of the Mexican American Women Who Endured Repatriation.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
We are excited to be partnering with Cellar Door Books for their Community in Conversation series, where we will be discussing Marla A. Ramírez's pivotal book Banished Citizens: A History of the Mexican American Women Who Endured Repatriation. Moderated by co-author of the Mexican American Baseball in the South Bay, Ron Gonzales, join us Saturday, July 25, from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM for a conversation about the 1930s Mexican repatriation.
Even if repatriation hasn't affected you or your family directly, we see its effects on our communities and current administrative policies, and we want to encourage the community to join us for a discussion.
