Step inside our artist's studio and leave with your very own porcelain pieces! In this month long course, students will learn basic handbuilding techniques such as pinch pots, coil building, and slab construction using high quality porcelain. Using these methods you will create at least 3 unique pieces, which you decorate and glaze during the last class. Students typically create homeware, tableware, and sculptural pieces, but if you have your own idea for a project you want to work on, our instructors are happy to help you create it! Class sizes are small -- up to 6 students learn from 2 instructors, meaning you will get lots of support and instruction from our talented artists.

PACE is the mandatory activity of the RCT program. Classes meet Saturdays (typically 16 class days from late August through March/April) from 8:50 a.m. to noon, at CBU in Riverside. Class size is limited to 18-30 students per class to ensure that all students can fully benefit from both individualized and group instruction. As a result, there is generally a 2-3 year waiting list to join the organization, depending on gender and grade level. Great attention is devoted to helping the children build their self-esteem, confidence, and public speaking skills; skills and abilities that will enhance their adult lives wherever their career paths will take them.
