Young Writers Summer Camps
Lighthouse Writers Workshop
Lighthouse offers a wide array of full and half-day summer camps from June through August for young writers ages eight to 18. Whether they've got a few novels under their belt, are new but curious about poems, or are a reluctant writer, our camps offer a fun, creative, and challenging way for young people to explore and express who they are, build new friendships, and create truly beautiful works of art.
Camp Zone at DropZone Water Park

Camp Zone is a day camp for children ages 5-12 that strives to bring adventure and excitement into kids’ lives while also integrating the importance of water safety. Our carefully selected counselors and facilities ensure that each child has the best day camp experience. Camp Zone includes daily swim , water safety lessons, water park time, weekly themed activities and crafts, and much more! Must cancel 48 hours in advance for refund or credit.
The Ocean is Calling

For girls entering 10th-12th grades. No Girl Scout experience required! Explore what the future could hold for you out in the ocean. Spend a night at an aquarium while getting to know the ins and outs of the job, take an intro to SCUBA course, and learn what you can do to protect our planet. Campers must be comfortable in the water and confident swimmers.
Wilderness First Aid

For girls entering 9th-12th grades. No Girl Scout experience required! Spend the week learning to survive in the wilderness, and how to help in an emergency. Leave the week with a Wilderness First Aid certification from the American Red Cross. Wilderness First Aid training requires the completion of online coursework BEFORE arriving at camp.

For girls entering 9th-12th grades. No Girl Scout experience required! Don your elf ears and form an adventuring party to go on an epic adventure with friends as you learn the joys of collaborative storytelling and exploring fantasy worlds. Campers are encouraged to bring their own dice for tabletop roleplaying games, and costumes and accessories to really get into character.
